Penny Circle

Penny likes all types of Stamp Collecting and is a keen stamp collector of US, Australian, Irish, Canadian and German postage stamps. Penny is a fan of USPS and Canada stamps in particular. She loves the quirky Disney stamps featuring the cartoon characters as well as other rather unusually shaped stamps. Penny plays Chess at a high level and is keen on Scrabble type word games. She likes all board games (old fashioned ones with a die, especially) which the family all play at Christmas time when they are not involved with the traditional family Christmas jigsaw.  

As a collector of antiques, Penny Circle’s expertise ranges across many subjects from Antique bottles and antique vases to vintage glass marbles. Even though they may be of little value she loves all her antiques but has a soft spot for the beautifully colored 'friendship' Glass balls hanging in her windows. Also on a glass theme, Penny wrote about the glass version of the baby bottle which was the norm many years ago but is back in vogue now. Other baby hubs by Penny Circle include NUK and baby shower gifts in hamper form as well as the ever so important aspect of caring for children by using baby safety gates. 

Penny returned to education to obtain a Masters which was one of her early ambitions. When her children grew up she took the opportunity to return to her studies and to take up writing again, which was always her passion. Penny writes a lot of articles and hubs, including some Kindle books but she does so for pleasure, rather than for trying to make a fortune from her efforts. Penny completed her studies to MSc. level and is an expert in mobile telephony.

Penny has a passion for the outdoors and likes to try her hand at gardening and garden decor, She especially likes growing new trees and the planting of fruit trees and crops by trial and error methods. Her latest venture is in growing lazy bed potatoes. No task is too daunting for Penny as she has had to tackle large scale tree cutting when they were growing too big to manage. Penny has many indoor hobbies including her kitchen furniture design and restoration, as well as some mosaic tile work. She continues to improve her craft skills and has completed a number of projects including a mosaic table and a mosaic mirror.
